Thoughts On Silva Tree And Environmental Investments

A very interesting company that came to my attention recently is Silva Tree. The purpose of Silva Tree is to improve and protect the environment, and they do this by offering a number of environmental related investments. The entire global economy is still recovering from the recession, and a lot of people have lost most of their savings with the wrong investments lately. Stocks will give good returns in the long run if you do it right, but they go up and down a lot in the short term and you can never be sure when you should be buying or selling. If you don’t have the heart for investing, then you can just leave your money sitting in interest accounts, but that isn’t going to give you huge returns. But with Silva Tree, you have the opportunity to not only make very high returns, but also do something very good for the environment at the same time. That makes it very appealing for many different investors.

According to Silva Tree’s website, their main investment project on offer right now (the timber investment plan) offers a guaranteed 15.1% return per annum over the course of 20 years. Making a steady high return year after year with traditional investments (like the stock market or currencies) is often difficult, and they tend to fluctuate a lot. Anything like this normally sounds a little fishy and so you may be wondering how returns are guaranteed. It’s simple. The timber investment that Silva Tree provides allow you to take ownership of a large plot of land, with a high amount of trees per hectare. Returns on your investment are made by harvesting the land and selling timber to a pre-arranged buyer. A purchase price of $275 for every cubed meter of timber is offered by World Paulownia LLC. The total return on a $32,500 investment in a plot over the course of 20 years is close to $150K.

There are an impressive list of investments that Silva Tree has organized throughout its history. All of Silva Tree’s investments and projects are also designed to do some kind of good for either the environment or community (or both). As an example, one of Silva Tree’s projects was the Carbon Offset Forestry Project, which is no longer available – the purpose of it was to buy areas of forest in order to conserve and protect it from being cleared. There are two benefits of conserving rainforest: habitat for animals is preserved, and global warming is reduced. One of Silva Tree’s most successful investments, which is no longer available, is the Princess Project where they reforested 1500 hectares of land.

In my view, Silva Tree is a fantastic opportunity for people that care for the environment, and wish to put their money in a high earning investment. Investments from Silva Tree will give you solid returns every five years without you even having to monitor it, which cannot be said for things like currencies or property, which can easily go down as well as up. And you don’t need to be worried about the safety of your money either. Silva Tree is very highly regulated and is a member of the BBB as well as other organizations like Ethical Junction. Another thing to keep in mind is that the people behind Silva Tree that work to make the organization a success all have years of experience. Currently there are three directors that oversee the development of Silva Tree (these are Maurice Sjerps, Keren Kats and Patrick Visser).
