This is so true. Our country suffers from apathy. Things have only gotten worse in the decades since this was made. people know things are wrong. We need to quit accepting it as the inevitable norm. It doesn’t have to be this way.
There is hope though. The internet is like the window to the world, and people are beginning to yell.

We have an unmitigated window into the views of the entire world, and my generation, in its disgusting vapidity, wastes it. We’ve got resources beyond the people of this age’s dreams, and what do we do with it? Listen to awful, manufactured music and tell everyone what we’re doing at any given moment because we think they give a damn.
