Saw Leon on the Grammy Awards tonight. He sounded good. I’ve got tickets to see him live at the end of April. 40th anniversary of the first rehearsal of MD&E coming up in about six weeks.

True, but since the sixties a substantial portion of our great singers have sounded like “some mad man screaming into a microphone” for those who aren’t into them. From Dylan, Jagger, Plant, most punk, most metal, rap is too tough to scream but otherwise qualifies – chuck the “man” part, and add an equal number from Joplin to Faithfull to Bjork, y’know… they’re ALL insane, and it’s ALL acquired taste.
